Information about the event
Leading researchers in the field will be heard during the three-day symposium. The topics of the lectures cover the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure and hypertension. The last day of the symposium will look to the future and reflect on the impact of technological developments on the treatment of circulatory diseases.
The symposium will be held in Porvoo, at Haikko Manor, which is only a half-hour drive from Helsinki. The manor, spa and conference hotel, which has a rich history, was opened in 1966 – the main building itself dates back to 1913. Over the years, it has served numerous times as an atmospheric venue for the Paavo Nurmi Foundation’s symposia.
The Precmed 2022 symposium is organized in cooperation with the Paavo Nurmi and Yrjö Jahnsson foundations. The Paavo Nurmi Foundation, founded in 1968, promotes research into cardiovascular disease and general public health in Finland. The Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation was founded in 1954 to promote Finnish research in economics and medicine.
